It may be the case that everyone knows this song. I think a lot of people have heard it and love it, but almost no one knows who it's by, so I'm considering it acceptable for the list. I will probably get hate mail but I swear the 80's were the high point of R&B. Rest assured I will be providing proof to make my case for this claim. I'd also like to make clear in advance that irrespective of what songs I put on here and say they are great R&B songs, someone will argue with me about them being R&B, so let's just skip that debate.
